Investigation Overview
August 11, 2015 (Shareholders Foundation) - An investigation on behalf of investors of PIMCO ETF Trust (NYSEARCA:BOND) shares over potential securities laws violations by PIMCO ETF Trust and certain of its directors and officers in connection certain financial statements was announced.
The investigation by a law firm focuses on possible claims on behalf of purchasers of the securities of PIMCO ETF Trust (NYSEARCA:BOND) concerning whether a series of statements by PIMCO ETF Trust regarding its business, its prospects and its operations were materially false and misleading at the time they were made.
On August 3, 2015, PIMCO announced that it has received a Wells Notice from the staff of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission ('SEC') that relates to the PIMCO Total Return Active Exchange-Traded Fund. The notice indicates the staff's preliminary determination to recommend that the SEC commence a civil action against PIMCO stemming from a nonpublic investigation relating to BOND. A Wells Notice is neither a formal allegation of wrongdoing nor a finding that any law was violated.
