Investigation Overview
An investigation on behalf of investors, who currently hold shares of Orbotech Ltd (NASDAQ:ORBK), was announced concerning whether the takeover of Orbotech Ltd. by -Tencor Corporation is unfair to NASDAQ:ORBK stockholders.

However, the investigation concerns whether the offer is unfair to NASDAQ:ORBK stockholders. More specifically, the investigation concerns whether the Orbotech Board of Directors undertook an adequate sales process, adequately shopped the company before entering into the transaction, maximized shareholder value by negotiating the best price, and acted in the shareholders' best interests in connection with the proposed sale.
Orbotech Ltd reported that its annual Total Revenue rose from $806.40 million in 2016 to $900.85 million in 2017 and that its Net Income increased from $79.44 million in 2016 to $132.38 million in 2017.
