September 24, 2014 - The court approved the settlement and entered the orders approving the plan of allocation, the motion for attorneys’ fees and expenses, and dismissing the action with prejudice.
May 5, 2014 - The court preliminarily approved the settlement.
April 30, 2014 - Parties filed a stipulation of settlement.
June 24, 2013 - The court denied in part and granted in part the defendants' motions to dismiss.

January 10, 2012 - An investor in shares of Kosmos Energy Ltd (NYSE: KOS) filed a lawsuit against Kosmos Energy Ltd over alleged Violations of Securities Laws.
According to the complaint the plaintiff alleges that Kosmos Energy Ltd hid that the offshore Jubilee oil field project in Ghana was underperforming.
Kosmos Energy Ltd reported that its Annual Revenue rose from $1.57million in ’07 to $10.20million in 2009, respectively $9.34million in 2010. However, its Net Loss increased from $60.79million for 2007 to $79.75million in 2009 and $245.67million in 2010.
On May 10, 2011 Kosmos Energy Ltd (NYSE: KOS) announces that the company has priced its initial public offering (“IPO”) of 33 million common shares at $18.00 per share.
Shares of Kosmos Energy Ltd (NYSE: KOS) rose slightly but then dropped to as low as $10.80 per share on October 7, 2011. Over the next few weeks NYSE: KOS stocks rose to as high as $16.19 per share on Otcober 27, 2011.
However, then on Nov. 10, 2011 Kosmos Energy Ltd announced its third quarter 2011 results. Among other things, Kosmos Energy Ltd said that its third quarter Revenue rose from $1.99million for the third quarter 2010 to $232.84million for the third quarter 2011 and its third quarter Net Loss of $82.55million from 2010 turned into a third quarter Net Income of $51.78million. It was not until November 10, 2011, when Kosmos Energy Ltd addressed the problems with the Jubilee oil wells, so the lawsuit. The plaintiff claims that Kosmos Energy Ltd and its partners were dealdin with a design problem with the wells that existed before the IPO, a design problem that Kosmos Energy Ltd did not disclosed to investors who purchased Kosmos Energy Ltd stock in the IPO.
NYSE: KOS stocks fell from over $16 in the end of October to as low as $11.34 on December 14, 2011.
