July 30, 2008 - Two investors in shares of General Electric Company (NYSE: GE) filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut on behalf of all common stock purchasers from March 12th, 2008 through April 10th, 2008 against General Electric Company, its CEO Jeff R. Immelt and CFO Keith S. Sherin over alleged security fraud by General Electric Company for failing to disclose deteriorating business conditions during the first quarter, that ended with an unexpected drop in profitability, bringing the sharpest drop in General Electric Company shares seen in two decades.
