January 5, 2016 (Shareholders Foundation) - An investigation on behalf of investors of Chimerix Inc (NASDAQ:CMRX) shares over potential securities laws violations by Chimerix and certain of its directors and officers in connection certain financial statements was announced.

On December 28, 2015, Chimerix Inc (NASDAQ:CMRX) announced that its Phase 3 SUPPRESS trial of brincidofovir in patients undergoing hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) did not achieve its primary endpoint for the prevention of clinically significant cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection through Week 24 after transplant. Shares of Chimerix Inc (NASDAQ:CMRX) declined from $35.82 per share on December 24, 2015, to as low as $6.51 per share on December 28, 2015.
